What another fabulous way to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary!  Croatia has been on our bucket list since we saw the tourism ads on TV in Belgium 15 years ago, and it did not disappoint. Our wonderful travel agent chartered a private yacht for 15 couples to sail from Split to Dubrovnik, stopping frequently at some of the most adorable and picturesque towns and villages imaginable.  Along the way we pampered by a caring and attentive crew, and enjoyed the company of great friends while indulging in fabulous food and drink, lots of wine tastings, and more olives, bread, cheese and prosciutto than you can possible imagine!  We flew into Venice for an overnight, then joined the rest of our travel group for a bus drive to Rovinj, Croatia for two nights and toured the hilltop towns of Istria (gorgeous).  Another bus ride took us to Plitvice National Park and a hike past some of the spectacular waterfalls in the gorge.  Finally we bused to Split, Croatia, touring the palace and town before boarding the mini-cruiser Symphony.  The marvelous crew took us through the Pakleni and Elaphati Islands to hidden coves for rather chilly swims, and to the fascinating towns of Brac, Hvar, Jelsa, Stari Grad, and Korcula before ending in Dubrovnik.  There, another bucket list item was accomplished when we 'walked the wall' of the spectacular Dubrovnik Fortress.  One last day on this incredible voyage was a trip into Bosnia-Herzegovina of all places, visiting the medieval city of Mostar, which reminded us of the bazaars in Turkey!
